Second Call to 49th Biennial Vermont State Convention
Our Lady of Angels Church, Randolph, Vermont
April 29, 2023
Dear Fathers and Sisters in Christ,
The Theme of the 2023 Convention is:
“Unless souls are saved, nothing is saved”
Your State Board is planning for a full one day event. It will be a day of prayer and business. It is imperative that ALL Catholic Daughters attend this meeting as we will be discussing the future of Catholic Daughters in Vermont.
Therefore, there will be NO FEE to attend. The State Board will be the hostess court for this convention. We just want you to attend. Our Lady of Angels is fully handicapped accessible and there is plenty of parking available. All food will be provided by the State Board.
Attendance: Members need only to register by the deadline of April 1, 2023 in order to attend. The State Board will be providing information at the Convention on the current status of CDA in Vermont so that each CDA member will be aware of our ageing and decreasing membership, courts closing, lack of leadership, andthe implications. Each one of you is a valuable member and we need your input
Regents, please pay close attention to the deadline dates.

As you can see there is a lot that needs to be done prior to Convention. I know that meetings are not consistent at this time of year, but please be aware ofwhat items need the vote of the courts.
Our Convention will begin with registration from 8:00am to 8:45.
Mass will begin promptly at 9:00am. Bishop Coyne will be the main celebrant. All officers will wear their robes and process in.
Refreshments will be after Mass and before the business meeting commences.
Susan Mone, National Regent-elect will be our guest speaker from National CDA.
We hope to close the Convention by 4:30pm at the latest.
4/1/2023 Deadline: CDA Women of the Year:
The State Court is asking each court to have members make individual nominations to their chaplain by writing letters explaining why their nominee should be selected. The chaplain would read all the nominations and select the court’s woman of the year to be presented with a certificate. Only the chaplain and the certificate maker would know who this person is to be recognized. The chaplains would need to submit names of recipients to:
